Do we need to restore items to maybe a PST then import them into the user’s “live” mailbox? This is not the active copy of the Exchange DB. (1) When restoring a message, it will go to the original DAG location (to the DAG member used for backup purposes).
We have one Exchange 2010 server per backup job. We’ve now set up VEEAM to back up this DAG member every couple of hours. We are using a single dedicated Exchange 2010 VM (a DAG member) to hold a copy of each Exchange DB which is used for backup purposes (to offload the processing needs during backups). On it we have some Exchange 2010 servers, multiple CA/HT servers in a CAS array, and multiple MBX servers in a DAG. I’ve searched the forum for the correct answers but haven’t found exactly what I need.
I’m setting up VEEAM v7 with VMware and Exchange 2010 and I am in need of a little assistance.
